About Us

The company was founded in 1987 by György Schweickhardt a Hungarian confectioner, who started making deep frozen chestnut puree for his confectionery shop. The chestnut puree was so delicious and such good quality that soon it was sold under the "Maroni" brand to wholesalers and retail chains.

Due to the professional confectioner background, the number of products continuously expanded. Today the company has a wide range of chestnut products, from deep frozen chestnut products, through chilled and deep frozen desserts covered with cocoa, to canned chestnut puree, chestnut flour, and roasted chestnut in honey syrup.
